Sharing - View code​

2023 - 2024 Zeemage is testing service enabling users to share their camera feed with external users. Starting 12/2023 users are able to select cameras to be shared with other zeemage users, or with view code and link to anyone who knows this link. When user utilizes this sharing he/she acknowledges risking leaking images outside intended audience.

Sharing to a view code will be made available first  - i.e. zeemage user can create a view code and select cameras to be shared with the code - view code has a name and & link for sharing. This link enables anyone to access zeemage and shared cameras with following limitations.

• Maximum total 500 images

• Maximum total history of 2 weeks

• No possibility to delete, tag, make favorite or download

• No access to image details, camera settings, other settings nor account details.

• User interface language is same as language of view owner

• No access to control room settings, predifined control room view for PC is 2x3-all images, and for mobile 2x1-all images

Reasonable usage volume

• Maximum 3 sharing codes / user.

• Creation of sharing view codes is enabled for test accounts, and later for premium accounts (not MINI). There is no separate fee for reasonable sharing, but usage is expected to be reasonable, and if reasonable volume is exceeded usage is throttled by system.

• View code usage is tracked and logged. Users IP addresses are stored. Reasonable is e.g. 10 unique users within 24 hours, with maximum 40 gallery updates and 10 hours of control room usage.

• We will provide in near future report of the usage to view codes owner so he/she is able to follow if sharing has spread outside of the intended audience.
